| West Hollywood has some great restaurants. And what makes a great restaurant?
An exciting menu, a design that is both stylish and comfortable, and attentive
service. Combine these qualities with a building rich in West Hollywood
history and you have Eleven Restaurant and Nightclub. |
| Positioned on the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and Larrabee, the
building has a bold and impressive appearance. Built in 1922, Eleven is
only the building's third tenant. Originally, the building was the First
National Bank of Sherman (Sherman was the original name of West Hollywood).
In the late 60's, the building became the Larrabee Sound Studio. Cher,
Prince, Madonna and Sting are among the artists to have recorded here.
In 2005, rennovation began and Eleven's owners Sid Krofft and Richard Grossi
worked to restore the historic building to it's original appearance. Eleven
opened to the public in February 2007 and, in a relatively short period
of time, has become one of the most popular and talked about restaurants
in the area. |

 |
| The interior of the restaurant is strikingly attractive. Rich woods
combined with stone and colorful ceramic tile gives the restaurant a warm,
inviting look. There's an upstairs loft dining room that overlooks the
bar and restaurant seating below. On a nice day, you may wish to grab a
seat on the outdoor patio and do a little people watching. |
| Upstairs, in addition to a dining area there is a lounge with a small
stage for a DJ. On weekends, there is an aerialist that performs between
the diners and the DJ. In the late evening hours, Eleven starts to fill
with great looking people enjoying good food, music and a drink or two.
Sure, the place may be a little crowded when you stop by on any given evening,
but such is to be expected at a popular West Hollywood night spot. |
 |
| The food at Eleven is carefully prepared and beautifully presented.
As servers pass by with appetizers and entrees on their way to the tables
of hungry customers, each dish looks as appealing as something you would
see prepared on Food Network. It is apparent that the kitchen staff, under
the direction of Executive Chef Sal Prado, takes customer satisfaction
seriously. Menu prices seem quite reasonable considering the quality of
the food and the ample portions. And don't let the word "nightclub" prevent
you from stopping by earlier in the day. Eleven is open weekdays for lunch
from 11 am to 3 pm, and a champagne brunch is offered on Saturday and Sunday
during the same hours. Happy hour is from 4 to 7 pm. |
|
| Eleven Restaurant and Nightclub is a tasty and welcome addition to
the impressive roster of restaurants and night spots in West Hollywood.
Eleven is also available for receptions, corporate events and gala affairs.
